This 140-meter water giant is a symbol of the city, and for good reason! The Jet d’Eau fountain looks incredible against the backdrop of the lake and the Alps, especially when the sun plays on the water, creating a rainbow. Interestingly, it was originally just a technical structure to release pressure, but now it’s a must-visit for every tourist.
📍 Wowtographer Tip: The best time for a shoot is in the morning when the light is soft and there aren’t many people around. In the evening, the fountain is lit up, and it creates magical shots! We recommend photographing near the base of the fountain or from the Quai Gustave-Ador waterfront. The view from there is perfect. Want shots without the crowd? Come at dawn when the tourists are scarce, and the entrance is free. Just be ready for the splashes, the wind might play tricks! If you dream of a photo from above, look for cafes with terraces nearby. A top-down view will add a unique touch to your shots.
